Accessibility
The Live-N-Learn website has been built with accessiblity in mind, and we aim to comply with W3C specifications, and to ensure that we follow the WAI accessibility guidelines.
This should provide people using assistive technologies, such as screen-readers, the ability to access the content as easily as those people using traditional browsing methods.
Some of the things we have done to ensure this site is as accessible as possible include:
Text Size
The site is built using relative font sizes, this means that users can take advantage of the browser tools which allow for the text in web pages to be resized to a more comfortable level. In browsers such as Internet Explorer and FireFox you can resize the text by selecting View and then Text Size in the browser menu bar.
Alt Text
All non-decorative images use the alt attribute to provide descriptive text alternatives.
Javascript
We do not rely on any JavaScript on the Live-N-Learn site except to provide additional enhancements where appropriate. This means that no information or functionality is not available to users who cannot or choose not to use JavaScript.
Browser Compatibility
The site has been thoroughly tested in many modern browsers on Windows & MacOS.
Despite being built to modern, compliant standards, it should also 'degrade gracefully' in older browsers. This means it may not look the same, but all the information in the site will still be accessible.
We are always looking to improve the quality of our website so if you encounter any problems please use our contact form to let us know.
